Project 01

The [Skin Aesthetic] Clinic

A hospitality, healing design for The [Skin Aesthetic] Clinic. Design inspired by the skin care product under eye patches. New space has two floors: The Ground Floor includes a Front of House area - reception, waiting area, juice bar and a skin care bar - Kitchenette, Store room, Ablutions and a dermatologist suite - examination room, consultation room and a minor procedure room. The First Floor includes a waiting area and five therapy rooms.

Booking.com

An office design for Booking.com Cape Town's office. Design inspired by Bo-Kaap rich culture. Includes a welcoming area, kitchenette, collaboration area, two meeting rooms, video conferencing room, general working areas, a breakout area and storage and server rooms.

Project 03

Inclusive Home Design

A residential design of Zara and Sam's Inclusive home. Zara has a mobility disorder that affects her lower limbs and uses forearm crutches to move around. The Contemporary design style along with neutral and natural tones mixed in with geometric patterns and shapes was used to inspire the final design. Space includes two bedrooms with ensuites, a home office, kitchen and dinning areas, a guest bathroom, a lounge area, garage, laundry room and an outside patio area.

ODA Festival Main Event Space

A collaboration project between third and second years with real life clients: Open Design Afrika. Ubuntu: The Power Of Us Festival Main Event Space designed with the essence of Ubuntu and inspired by the San Experience. Event space needed areas for speakers, socialising, food and family.

Project 05

Leigh's Brewery Bar

A hospitality design of Leigh's Brewery Bar. Leigh's brand is very feminine and delicate which influenced the design to be inspired by the poppy flower and seed. Leigh's makes and sells their own sweet beer onsite as the space includes a restaurant, bar and a micro-brewery.

Project 06

Farnsworth Glass House

An energy efficient residential design located in Monagham Farm influenced by the Mies van der Rohe’s Farnsworth glass house. The clients wanted their home to incorporate gathering and entertainment spaces as well as private areas embedded with energy efficiency and the natural landscape which hence inspired the design to be taken from elements of nature.
